Group ‘Anonymous’ Launch Operation ‘Titstorm’

COMPUTER hackers disabled several Australian government websites today in coordinated attacks protesting against a planned internet filter aimed at pornography.

The attacks, confirmed by the Attorney-General’s Department, crippled Australia’s parliamentary website for almost an hour, including the Communications Department, which is pushing a compulsory internet filter for pornography and offensive content.

The attacks were launched by hackers aligned with an anti-Church of Scientology group known as “Anonymous.”

“No government should have the right to refuse its citizens access to information solely because they perceive it to be ‘unwanted’,” the group said in an email.

“The Australian government will learn that one does not mess with our porn.”

The group is protesting the Government’s internet filtering plan which would block a list of banned websites, including child abuse material and pornography. Laws will be introduced to parliament soon.

  1. Morganti Says:

“Anonymous” are a bunch of teenage script kiddies who would like to be credited with being hackers.
The fact they breached those websites just shows that we need better system administrators managing those servers.

These are also the same group that hacked Sarah Palin’s email (It was through guessing her password.)

This will hinder our efforts. Please do not give them the credit as being referred to as hackers, it’s what they want.

    Stupid kids grrr ..

  2. Karen S Says:

I have no idea who they are but the name ‘Titstorm’ is flippant and since the closest thing I get to porn is reading press releases by politicians, they did not get any sympathy from me.

  3. Johnny Gonads Says:

    Internet censorship?

    We are always censored.

Will this raise the profile of internet censorship in a positive manner?

Well the minister in charge Conroy laughed about it…

UNFORTUNATELY the message of internet censorship will be lost on Australia’s who just believe it’s about child pornography.

Let’s hope these hackers and others, make sure the message isn’t watered down by our manipulating government PR providers and media with distracting messages like what they ALSO stand for and the stupid name of the event. Its as if they want people to see it as a joke, how soft core are these pretenders.

Who are they actually working for?

  4. Karen S Says:

Who knows what is going on. The way the world is going I would not put it past some public servants to have done it themselves just to push things along a bit. Wierder things have happened.

  5. Alison Eastment Says:

Is this a red herring to stir up the dissenters that dont want the filter- and put them all into the basket of “Porn lovers”. Sounds like it to me. This kind of media trick is key to divide and conquer the dissenters themselves. Not everyone (including myself) likes to defend a point that delves into tricky double takes of “no I really don’ t like porn - Im actually just a thinking person that can see this filter is for other purposes like political site deletion and the like. Hope this story remains at the bottom of the pile for these reasons.

Alison you make a good point.
I just know this. Political speeches and rhetoric and spindoctoring remind me of porn - a lot of gutteral sound with no sincerity or depth of feeling. Just waiting now for the manufactured on-line scandals to start so they can outrage the people enough to justify the scrutiny.

Titstorm, Alex Jones on UFOs, Aliens, and Project Blue Beam, Knights of Maltatrash …what is TMA really about? Seems like redirect agents here to discredit and smoke screen ‘the truth of the issue’.. and who is this Guy Anand really? hmmmmmmmn

Alice in Wonderlandis the kind of film an unimaginative fanboy dreams up on an IMDb message board. Every element arrives in a package so neat and uncontroversial that it lacks all of the texture and bite that the writings of Lewis Carroll may have had. All the creatures and landscapes are perfectly-rendered CGI concoctions that contain absolutely no weight or humanity whatsoever.
